Privacy, simply explained
We believe privacy policies should be understandable by actual humans.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using 3by3Grid (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By using this website, you agree to the practices described below.
1. What we collect
We collect only the information we reasonably need to operate the website and communicate with you.
This may include:
Your name and email address
Information you submit through forms or inquiries
Basic usage information such as pages visited, browser type, and device information
Cookies and analytics data
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information.
We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, typically no longer than three years from your last interaction with us, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, financial records).
2. How we use information
We use information to:
Respond to inquiries
Send requested resources, newsletters, or updates
Improve the website and user experience
Understand how visitors use the site
Maintain website security and performance
We collect and use your information based on one or more of the following grounds: your consent (for example, signing up for a newsletter), to fulfil a request you have made, or where we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving the website.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or significant effects on you.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not rent your personal information.
And we try very hard not to send annoying emails.
3. Cookies
Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to help the site function and understand visitor activity.
We use two types of cookies:
Strictly necessary cookies: required for the site to work. These are always active.
Analytics and performance cookies: help us understand how visitors use the site. These are only set with your consent, or you may opt out at any time through your browser settings or our cookie preferences.
You can disable cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not function properly if you do.
4. Third-party services
We use trusted third-party providers to help operate the website. These may include services for website hosting, analytics, email communications, and forms or automation. Our current key providers include services such as Google Analytics (analytics), Lovable (hosting) and Supabase (database). We maintain a list of our active processors and will provide it on request.
These providers are permitted to process your information only as necessary to provide their services to us, and we require them to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy law.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services linked from our site.
5. International visitors
3by3Grid is operated from British Columbia, Canada.
By using this website, you consent to your information being transferred to, stored, or processed in Canada or in other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from those in your home jurisdiction.
We aim to respect internationally recognised privacy principles and will make reasonable efforts to respond to legitimate privacy requests regardless of your location.
6. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards to protect your information.
In the event of a data breach that poses a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
However, no website, platform, or internet transmission is ever completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices
You may:
Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email
Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information
Withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time
We will respond to access or deletion requests within 30 days. In some cases we may need to retain certain information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example, financial records), and we will let you know if that applies.
To make a privacy request, contact us using the information in Section 10 below.
8. Children’s privacy
This website is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top.
For minor or administrative changes, continued use of the website after the update means you accept the revised policy.
For material changes, particularly those affecting how we use your information or your rights, we will provide notice by email or a prominent notice on the website before the change takes effect.
